Northern Shores Vacation Rentals Offers More Choices at Peninsula Bay Resort

It was the fall of 2005 when a small spin off of a larger local company stepped forward and began offering its vacation rental management services exclusively to the individual owners at Peninsula Bay Resort - thus forming today's, Northern Shores Vacation Rentals, LLC. of Traverse City. Northern Shores has earned an additional 6 Peninsula Bay suites on its rental program since last fall and stands to add two more by the beginning of this summer. With years of experience gained managing properties throughout Leelanau County, our depute on the East Bay shoreline was a wonderful opportunity and seemed second nature to what we were already good at: Vacation Rentals. Now here it is 3 years later and we move forward into summer of 2008, proud to be the continued choice in the vacation rental services at Peninsula Bay Resort. This didn't come by simply thinking ahead or with lots of planning, but with the love for what we do. It's the day in and day out genuine enjoyment we get by helping owners and guests that makes it all work better for us then anyone else. We are emotional about Peninsula Bay Resort. Early on, we watched her walls stretch 5 stories into the fresh East Bay breezes and we still marvel at her strong stature. It is a structure to be proud of, a real set apart along the East Bay shoreline. We continue to put Peninsula Bay Resort on the map as we have since the first photos were snapped. You will find most every mention of a place called Peninsula Bay Resort linked to Northern Shores in one way.

If you are thinking about finding that special place in Traverse City that enjoys the best of condominium vacationing, (or are interested in purchasing) please don't hesitate to call or drop us an e-mail... We are always looking to share Peninsula Bay Resort - it's what we do.

West Bay - Ice Bicycler - In front of Boardman River....

Ok, you don't see this everyday! My first thoughts were that this gentleman was pulling a somewhat dangerous stunt for the kicks of others or maybe just for himself. That may be the case but it seems that this was his solution to a dreaded wet slushy walk from this fish shany to the shoreline over by Bryant Park. I spent most of my youth on the shores of Northern Lake Leelanau in Leelanau County and have logged may hours mostly playing on a frozen lake. I can tell you though, that it never crossed my mind, even as a young person, to drag by bike out onto the frozen h2o. As I continued to follow him across the bay with my zoom lens is if he was a passing satellite across the horizon, he did fall - once. Kicked from his bike he sat there for what seemed a full minute as his bike stood high upright, obviously with its wheels stuck in the slush - burr. He then got back on his feet (most likely restarted his heart!) and straddled his bike and continue on. I'm sure his bottom was now completely frozen. What a wonderful place Traverse City is...

Interlochen Center for the Arts: Messiah - Traverse Symphony Orchestra

Arts & Culture
Messiah - Kevin Rhodes, conductor. Performances are Saturday, March 15 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 16 at 3 p.m. at the Corson Auditorium, on the campus of the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Maestro Rhodes will present Handel’s complete oratorio in a full concert performance – the first in many years in the area. Joining him will be a cast of four soloists, along with the Traverse Symphony Chorus and NMC Chorale, directed by Mark Puchala. Handel’s Messiah, completed in just 24 days in 1741, is regarded as the greatest oratorio ever written and one of the most beloved works of all time. The composer himself, according to his valet, wept often as the music flowed from his pen, overcome by its beauty. Although usually associated with the Advent season, Messiah was conceived and first performed during Easter. Among the most famous portions of the work are the soprano aria, “I Know that my Redeemer Liveth,” and the Hallelujah chorus, which concludes Part II. According to tradition, King George II was so moved by the chorus that he rose to his feet when he first heard it. When the king stood, all his subjects did likewise. Today, audiences still rise when the opening strains of the chorus are heard. For tickets, call 231- 947-7120 or visit online at http://www.tso-online.org/.
