Traverse City, MI – January 6, 2011 - Horse Sports by the
Bay, Inc is excited to announce that a proposal to host the 2011
National Junior Hunter Finals - East Coast has recently been submitted
to United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) for processing and review.
The proposal calls for the Finals to be held at the beautiful
Flintfields Horse Park - Traverse City, Michigan which is the host site
to the popular Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival. The Finals
will coincide with the last week of competition - Series IV.
Even though prize money is not required by USEF, management is prepared
to provide $5000 in prize money to each section at a 50% reduced entry
fee and a chance for riders to win $20,000 in scholarship for no
additional fee.
And, as an added value for attending, finalists will also receive
coupons for a free jet-ski rental, discounted dinner and drink gift
certificates and special hotel rates from the local area.
States Alexandra Rheinheimer, owner and manager of Horse Shows by the
Bay, "It would be an honor to host the Finals and I can't think of a
better place for the teens and their parents to spend July than Northern
Michigan. Our venue and location will certainly provide them with a
unique and fun experience for the whole family plus it's an easy commute
to Kentucky should these very same riders and trainers need to attend
Young Riders or Pony Finals afterwards."
The Junior Hunter Finals is a competition designed to encourage and
promote the basic training and development of Junior Hunters. Horses
that are eligible for this event must win a championship or reserve
championship at the "A" level or they must be in the top 10 of their
zone by the end of qualifying season.
